Do you want a body like Jennifer Aniston?
If you read magazines, newspapers and watch the TV, that is one of the messages you would be hearing. Magazines are always giving you tips on how to look like the actresses who appear on the cover of their magazine.
But is this realistic?
Everyday we are bombarded with what the media consider is the perfect body. But this obsession with what is considered to be the “ideal body” is unhealthy and can contribute to negative feeling about your body and about your self worth.
Let go of it!!!!!! Stop comparing yourself!
It is hard to live up the unrealistic airbrushed images. I remember recently that model Sarah O’Hare did a cover shoot where they did not airbrush her photo, so you saw exactly how she is, wrinkles included. It was huge news.
Can you imagine – someone on the cover who wasn’t airbrushed!!!! Well done to Sarah O’Hare for doing that.
So , how can we compare ourselves to airbrushed perfection? Yes, it would be handy to to airbrush ourselves in real life but this is not possible.
My advice?
Take good care of your body – eat good food, exercise and keep it in top physical shape. Treat your body like a temple – respect it and look after it, but don’t compare it to others.
We need to accept ourselves for who we are and each little imperfection we have. You will be so much happier when you do.
Be the best you can be – live the healthiest, fittest life that you can lead and stop worrying about others. Love your body and love who you are.
